Music Appreciation Day 2017
On Sunday, June 4, the members of Faith Church expressed their appreciation to all who were involved in some type of music ministry over the last year. Thanks were given to God for his gifts and the opportunity to use them for his glory. Choir director Phyllis was also thanked for her dedication and contribution to the music ministry of Faith Church.
Rome Vacation Bible School
Our 2017 Vacation Bible School will be taking place from July 17 to July 21. Each night of the week the adventure will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm. The cost is $10 per child for the whole week. If you have more than two children who want to attend, please contact us for a discounted rate. Children ages 5 to 11 are welcome at Rome.
This year the children will step back in time at Rome, exploring the life of the apostle Paul and the underground church. They will participate in a memorable Bible-times marketplace, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig in to Roman eats, visit Paul while he’s under house arrest, and collect Bible Memory Makers to remind them of God’s Word. Each day concludes at Extollo—a time of upbeat worship that gets everyone involved.
To register your child, please follow the link below.
We can’t wait to welcome you at Faith Church for this year’s adventure. In the meantime remember that all roads lead to Rome…
The Miracle of Mercy
Did you know that mercy is God’s number one characteristic in the Bible? The world portrays God as a God of anger and judgment. But God shows himself first and foremost as a God of mercy.
If mercy is God’s number one characteristic that he reveals to us in the Bible – if that is the most important thing he wants us to know about him – then it must be the most important thing for us to learn about him. And it must also be the most important character trait that God wants to develop in us.
Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Matthew 5:7 (NIV)
On May 7 we will be starting a 6 week focus on God’s mercy. We will be using a study by Rick Warren and Saddleback Church called “The Miracle of Mercy.” Pastor Albert will be preaching on God’s mercy for 6 Sundays, people will be meeting in small groups and learn about the Five Marks of Mercy, that Mercy forgives the Fallen, that Mercy helps the Hurting, that Mercy is Patient with Difficult People, that Mercy is Kind to Enemies, and that Mercy Cares for the Lost. In addition, many of us will be reading a book by Robert Gelinas with the title, “The Mercy Prayer – the One Prayer Jesus Always Answers.”
You are invited and encouraged to join us as we dive deep into God’s mercy.
Eagle Scout Project
We wish to thank and congratulate Peter Eastep, who for his Eagle Scout project decided to give our fellowship area and the two bathrooms a fresh coat of paint. Peter and his crew did a fantastic job and the results are great and just in time for Spring. We wish him all the best as he continues the requirements necessary for this great honor as a scout.
Easter Celebration
Our Lord Jesus Christ is alive! No memorial is needed, except our lives as a living memorial out of gratitude for all God has done for us.
Our Easter Celebration started with an interactive prayer service by the cross on the hill of our Route 6 property. Different symbols of the resurrection and Holy Week were used to retell the events of Jesus’ last week on earth and his resurrection from the dead. The weather was beautiful, the worship spirited and the words from God’s Word powerful.
Our main worship celebration took place in the sanctuary and it was wonderful to welcome many visitors and family and friends. How awesome it is to gather and give praise and glory to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. After the service all were treated by a delicious brunch hosted by Kelly Law and her daughter Rita. The children embarked on an Easter Egg hunt arranged by Dawn Young and found more than 200 eggs!
We are so grateful for our church family and it is simply amazing to pronounce to the world that Jesus lives!
Operation Christmas Child
On Saturday, November 12, Faith Church held a packing party to support Operation Christmas Child. Children and parents had a fun time packing shoe boxes filled with gifts and goodies that will be sent to less fortunate children this Christmas. It was a powerful reminder of how much we are all blessed with and how much we have to be thankful for. Our prayer is that this small gift will make a world of difference in the lives of the children who will be receiving them, and that the gospel of God’s love will touch their hearts with good news.
As shoebox gifts are distributed, local pastors or church leaders present the Gospel in a fun way designed for kids while family and friends listen in. Along with their shoebox gift, children also receive The Greatest Gift, a colorful presentation of the Gospel in their own language.
Their shoebox is the first gift many children have ever received! The treasures and personal letters inside communicate that someone cares for them and give them an opportunity to experience the love of God.

Faith Church’s Famous Apple Pies
We are once again busy with our annual apple pie fundraiser just in time for Thanksgiving. Over the course of three days we will be baking more than 500 pies in support of the ministry of Faith Church. Thank you to all who are working so hard to make this possible. As always it takes long hours and much effort, but we are also blessed in forming relationships and experiencing fellowship with one another. Please know that these pies are made with love. And if you have never tried one of our famous apple pies, you will simply have to do so next year! Scroll down to see a video we made a few years back on how our pies are made with love.
This is how it all happens…
The newest member of Faith Church
We wish to congratulate Tim and Jaime on the baptism of their baby boy!
Corbin was baptized into God’s family during our worship celebration on October 30th. Big brother Caleb and many friends and family were present. The service was a joyful celebration of God’s love and forgiveness. Our prayer is that God will bless Corbin and that he will bring much joy and happiness to his parents and family.

Prayer Meetings
Faith Church is starting a prayer meeting that will be taking place on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The first meeting is planned for October 5 at 7:00 p.m.
The Bible clearly demonstrates the power of united prayer. There is no doubt that God is calling his people back to himself in a relationship-centered life of prayer. The Holy Spirit moves powerfully in the lives of God’s children through focused time in united prayer. Believers are renewed and revived through prayer. Like someone said, “prayer is what God can do!”
During our time together we will be seeking God’s presence, worship together, learn something new about prayer, and spend time together in prayer for our personal concerns, congregational prayer concerns, and Kingdom prayer concerns. We will be using different approaches to structure our time together.
Anyone is welcome and our prayer is that you will join us for these meetings.
